Please tell me trail runners are just people using the trails as their jogging site of choice, and not some kind of spooky, three-foot monster spider or something like that.
Nope, trail runners are human -- crazed masochists, but human. I suspect they wouldn't approve of your terming their activity "jogging," though ... these are people who do 50-mile runs in the high-mountain wilderness, and somehow call it "fun." :)
don't get me wrong. These are people who run 50 miles, and call it "going short". The only thing better than running all day, is running all day and all night.
I'm pretty sure that no one I know is still here, but I thought I'd make a last post anyway, just for the heck of it. I'm sorry you didn't make it, Google Plus. Sleep well.
Eagle Guard is a wonderful spot. I've got it booked for a weekend in August. Did you make it to the falls?
ReplyDeleteNope, no trip to the falls this time ... unlike you, crappy weather slows me down even more, so the dog and I just tromped around nearer the cabin.
ReplyDeleteAnd yep, Eagle is definitely high on my list of favorite cabins ... this was my second stay there, and I could definitely go back again someday.
Aug 24-26. Consider yourself invited. Probably crawling with trail runner types, but they're harmless.
ReplyDeleteTrail runners!! I should have known. :)

ReplyDeleteMasochists... Running for no good reason, calling it 'fun'...
ReplyDeleteSounds like joggers to me!
Oh, don't get me wrong ... joggers are definitely masochists, too.

ReplyDeleteMy point proven. :)
ReplyDeleteAha—psychotic, suicidal joggers, then!
