    I've had a couple of people tell me that I should just go sit in it myself for a while, and that he'd eventually figure it out. But I'm worried about what the neighbors would say ... :)

    I was about to suggest getting into the pool myself. . .and don't worry about the neighbors. . .you're getting yourself and your dog cooled down, that's all that matters.
